Max McDougall

Born in Toronto, Ontario--yet living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with both Scottish and Irish heritage; the nascent Max was whisked away to Perth, Australia at a young age.

Growing up playing in the billabong under the coolabah tree with Vegemite in his tucker bag did not last forever though, when he moved to Houston, Texas for his high school career.

Max has had a passion for drums ever since he was but a wee one, but started learning and playing more seriously by the age of fourteen. He has played percussion, mostly drum kit, with many different bands and genres of music in the Houston and Greater Houston Area such as: Violent Iris (Alternative Rock), Erase the Virus (Industrial), All the Above (Punk), and Sever Syndrome (Emo).

He encountered Tartanic at the Texas Renaissance Festival. With his curious Aboriginal influences and an alternative/punk/rock/hip-hop backround, Max has beaten all odds, and is much more than you can shake a stick at (even two). When not touring with Tartanic, you can find him promoting and partying in the underground electronic music scene.
